Laser lights on palms video

The lights...

So the lasers are on the roof twinkling their green and red lights on the palms, they look so pretty people actually stare :) and some folks stopped by and actually videotaped them, and asked if we could tell them how we managed to string up all the lights so evenly on the palm fronds! LOLOL!   So I explained that they're lasers on the rooftop etc. and so on...then we added a string of solar lights to the edge of the roof ledge, and there's a couple of solar globes on the ground, and I found more poinsettias but a darker red and I shoved them in the pots too xD  I'm tired of all this decorating!

The picture does not do justice to the prettiness at all!

My Red Vanda that I love
Found these FINALLy at the Home Depot yesterday, it looked like a hurricane had passed in there xD

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Many blessings.  I finally found the poinsettias, four stores I had to go, I wanted them to look natural and everything had glitter, but I finally found these attached to white roses and they had glitter centers, but I thought I could make them work. I cut them off from the roses and scraped off the glitter from the centers, with my craft paints I painted the centers yellow and pushed them into the pots with the little plants, I will getting more though for a fuller look.
Glitter centers

Afterwards painted yellow centers
Then I though the wall in front of the balcony needed a bit of color so I took out the leftover paint and painted it violet also to match the other wall, but I dunno if it actually looks better, I'm having second thoughts about it. Myself I those aren't my choice of colors for a house, but my daughter wanted them

Little wall painted violet...

Today we made the traditional rice with pigeon peas, potato salad, a simple salad and pork chops! Yaaaay no frigging turkey! Well the hospital didn't (thank God actually) give out turkeys this year as they bought another hospital in the metropolitan area which is to specialize in maternity and I suppose they're tight in the finances department but I'm so glad!  Hate making turkey, and we were planning on giving it away anyway :)

So I'm fixing a couple things around her and messing with my orchids which have been quite petulant since the hurricane, especially the phalaenopsis, man, they used to bloom about now and last year was nada and this year so far only two have spikes! oh well...

Anyway, thankful for life, blessing to all who may read this...

EDDIE PALMIERI NO TE EQUIVOQUES CONMIGO

Dia Del Descubrimiento Parade...

So today November 19 is the date that Columbus allegedly 'discovered' Puerto Rico ;D

So in Aguada where supposedly he landed first, (and other towns will differ heatedly with that, but...)

So there are kiosks with artisans, and of course another giant horse cavalcade etc. The beginning is a little bit janky cause the mayor, you know has to have a little shine and spotlight but it gets better...

The Holy days...

I'm using the old adornments to make new arrangements for the dining area and living room. I'm really feeling creative this year!
The Christmas tree I don't believe will be taken out of storage because although it's wonderful putting it up and decorating it, but, taking it down and cleaning and storing everything is a giant PITA! So I don't think so, unless my daughter changes her mind at the last minute, I'm not doing it.
This one is in the dining area, on that glass tray I'm going to put balls and whatever other glitter I find here stored in the bins

This one is in the living room
I found some very pretty classical type pots at the supermarket of all places, and I'm going to pot up some pretty little flowers I have in the yard, they're called miniature Corona De Cristo in Spanish, (miniature Crown of Thorns?) they have tiny, tiny bright red flowers, and then I'm going to buy some artificial poinsettias and tuck them in around the plants. In my head I have it all figured out, but you know how that sometimes works out ;) Those are for the porch. The Star Shower lasers we already put up on the roof pointed at the palms, no theft, or less possibility of theft anyway xD So all I do is plug them in at night from the extension cord hanging from the roof on the side of the house it comes in through a window.

When I do the outside pots, I'll post pics!

Ta tah my lovelys...

Cabalgata (Parade of Horses and riders) and new Hibiscus...

Today I was going up to Rincon to buy a most beautiful Hibiscus plant, and encountered this...Thankfully they didn't hold up traffic too much. All kinds of beautiful saddles and horse shoe and face covers (is that even what they're called :D) I couldn't take too many pics. And my new Hibiscus...

New Beauties...

In bloom. These are like my babies, now that I don't have babies anymore...

So I fell again...

Wow, I'm just grateful I didn't break anything important but I think I have a fracture in situ, not displaced, in my wrist, either ...
