Ezequiel...Born Friday September 20, 2019 at 3:07 AM
Thank God my daughter had a natural birth, with a short although intense labor. Eight hours, which is great for a first time mom. He weighed 7.7 and is very strong and healthy thank God. He's very tranquil and calm. I'm just praying that all the crap they give them at birth don't cause any harm to him. All in all (except for the pain) a great and blessed experience. Thank you God.

We dodged a bullet...
Wow! Bahamas got it so much more worse than us. That hurricane pummeled them for so many hours! They've been devastated! God have mercy on them and may they get speedy and copious supplies. As I watch the rescue efforts it just seems no one is really trained or equipped to deal with the logistics of these disasters. Reminds me of a burning building where there are people that just freeze and can't seem to move type thing. It just seems it's so difficult to get speedy and sufficient supplies to help the victims!
Although for once I do have something good to say about Saharan dust. Because of the huge cloud of it at the time over this island, the hurricane Dorian could not intensify and had to side step us. As soon as it was clear of the dust though, it intensified dramatically and of course devastated the Bahamas. Watching what happened there bought back all of the sad memories of Hurricane Maria. I pray for the people of those islands. Puerto Rico is gathering food, water, supplies and money to send to the Bahamas.
As for me and mine, well my daughter is due in about two weeks, although it could be a week before or after the due date. Thank God she's felt very well and is planning to work until the last minute so that her maternity leave will be completely for when the baby's here.
The supervisors threw her a surprise baby shower last week. She received many lovely gifts, even a monitor for the baby's room.
A conference room was decorated to the hilt! They had a buffet table with all kinds of goodies. A monitor screen with pictures of her. A beautiful cake, decorated tables for everyone, the works!
My grandsons girlfriend had her sex reveal sonogram and its a girl, so I will be having a great granddaughter! I'm embroidering some burp cloths and bibs for her. I also embroidered burp cloths for my grandson.
Things are moving along, with of course the usual problems that life brings.
But of course life is not without it's little problems, or big ones...
Firstly my daughter bought some paint from Sherwin Williams, she asked for flat paint, no primer, they gave her with primer, she didn't realize or read the label and painted and now the entire room has been inundated with the most horrible and intoxicating smell! We've tried everything, the last being burning a couple of candles to see if that removes the fumes .
Then she bought a rocker from Walmart and it has the most horrible fumes! A chemical smell, it's now in the sun to see if the fumes evaporate, and the dads aunt brought a dresser for the baby in Sears and it has the same smell but worse! My daughter put it in the sun also because we read that the fumes will evaporate with heat, but it's been a while and it still smells! We think its the glue. I dunno...
Yesterday I wanted to clean the living room furniture and exposed myself to a little Saharan dust that was in the air and got asthma and couldn't finish:( But tomorrow is another day.
I'm praying on it.
