Google...

...has sent an email that they are closing some parts, or page, or all of it's stuff? 

Does that mean the Blogger blogs too? It said that we should download and save our pictures and I dunno, posts I guess. But it's not really clear to me.

My son says that he heard it's something called Google Plus which did not pan out the way they thought it would for Google ,and so they're getting rid of it. But I never saw anything about Plus on my Blogger blog so...anyway I \sent them an email inquiry today...

Fires Everywhere...The Land Of Feast Or Famine...

When it rains here, we flood, mudslides, the works, when its the dry season, which this is the first one in three years, fires spring up everywhere!  The land of feast or famine...

It hasn't rained here in months. Everything is dying, no amount of watering helps, and we have rationing going on anyway. So here on the island,  instead of preventing, like for example going out to wet down possible hot spots, no, they go when the fire is raging. Today it's the town dump, we're told if the wind changes we may have to evacuate...wonderful...when it's not foo it's fa! (I made that up :)  So I have my street clothes on, dressed and ready to run... No peace for the weary...

Imma have to do my rain dance soon 'cause...'cept I'm afraid, cause my rain dances usually last three years, 'member the last one I did?...and that's too much, and then to top it off it brings a hurricane and...ya know?...But God send rain soon! Lots of it!!! Amen.

Oncidium Firecat and Sharry Baby...and some news...

So I've been sick as a dog, or sicker, had the flu, vertigo, bunch of things, but I feel better now. So I treated myself to two orchids, the beautiful orange curly petaled Wilsonara Fireball and the chocolate orchid Sharry Baby, so named because it smells like chocolate. I've been looking for it for a while now, finally found it!

ANNDDDDD......my daughters gonna have a baby!!! YAS! She's gonna be a momma! I've been helping her with the morning sickness. I found that ginger tea will stave off nausea quite effectively, and so every night I make some and she takes it with her to work next day. But she's better now, didn't last that long.

I'm gonna be a grandma again guys!  So excited, but we don't know what the gender is yet, but soon though!    xD

My new, old phone and case...

So my daughters Samsung Note 5 was losing its charge really quickly, it charges fast but loses the charge quick also, and since I dont use it much so she got a new one and gave it to me which for me is an upgrade cause i don't believe in expensive phones and had a Samsung $130 cheapo. These phones seem to be made to be disposable so one has to constantly be buying! This Note firstly had swallowed up the pencil thingy, won't come outta the hole! Now it seems the phone cannot be opened to change the battery (it's seamless) and could possibly break! So? I mean really now!!! Anyway, she had it in one of the wallet type cases, which I like, but I need a rubber type case that has grip cause I have arthritis in my hands with poor grip, and I looked on Amazon but could'nt find one I liked. If you can't find it, make it is my motto. So I took the glue gun drew some tree branches on the cover, painted it gold, added some craft 'jewels' and voila, got my grip, least till I find a rubbery-er one.

Okay so I had some energy and I decided today was the day to bring down all the Christmas decorations and take out the tree. Well, it was good enough going with the decorations, a little dusting put everything in boxes and bins, easy does it, no sweat.

Pretty soon the tree was empty, time to take it out, so I dragged it to the carport door...and it fit right through until it came to the stand part! Lo and behold the stand was too big for any of the doors! It became clear that I would have to unscrew the screws that were holding the tree to the stand in order to maneuver it out!

Well,thank God I've always been a power tool kinda girl, oh yeah, and my son recently bought a battery operated drill! YEAH! SWEET!

Well long story short the tree had a well of stagnated water in the reservoir which spilled all over and smelled like urine! Oh God give me strength! I finally unscrewed the damn 3 inch screws, by which time my back was screaming in pain 'cause I was necessarily hunched over,  anyway long story short, finally pulled the tree from the base, which I then maneuvered out the door. Then I had to sweep a shitload of pine needles which seemed to have gotten into every nook and cranny of house and carport, AND mop four times for the stench to go away as well as spread baking soda to absorb the smell and, well forget it, I was a sweating aching mess! !!! Oh frikking Tannenbaum! Jesus bring the fire!!!

Three inch screws, whew, were they ever stuck in the wood!

Finally! Out and stand turned sideways fit.

Y'all better believe I put that damn tree in the yard and I'm making something out of it, if only a bird nester! After all that trouble it damn well better be of some more service sheeet!

I was so exhausted I could hardly stay on my feet, but I showered, drank an Ensure, and flopped on the bed, Whatsapped my daughter, "bring me food, I've fallen and I can't get up" LOLOL!  xD

But it's done, daughters just gotta buy another bin 'cause she keeps buying ornaments so...

Anyway...MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR GOLDARNIT!!!
