The painted wall and the Star Shower laser lights, and the new Chakra stone earrings...

I'm revved upppp people, I'm revved up! Yeah! The frikking Saharan Dust is finally clearing away! So I had a gallon of paint I bought months ago, to paint the wall in the carport area where I have my orchids, but hadn't been able to because of my asthma :(

Yesterday my son power washed it cause the hurricane left it looking awful, so today I took my meds, I had everything, brushes, pans, liners, rollers etc., ready months ago, so I grabbed them, shook up the paint can and voila a couple of hours and an aching back later, wall painted! The color is called Apricot Nectar by Glidden, I usually veer away from yellows, but this is a warm peachy color, and it looks different in each different light of day. I won't lie, after I had bought the color I had reservations, but I decided to go with it, and I love the way it turned out!

I'm going to hang there my Staghorn Ferns and maybe some Vandas, we'll see...

So the Christmas Star Shower laser lights I've had for 3 years now, and what I've been doing is setting them up on the lawn at dusk them bringing them back in before I go to sleep, because otherwise they'll get stolen for sure, but this is a big PITA, so last year I didn't even bother, but then again last year the entire country wasn't much in the mood for celebrating, we were all just going through the motions because that hurricane left us a tad down.

So I was thinking how can I put them out and leave them out the entire season?  Since basically what I do is I point them up at the palm tops so the palms fronds look as though they're decorated with the twinkling red and green lights as the fronds move in the breeze, and everybody likes them and comments on the display because it looks very pretty.

So I'm brainstorming what can I do, what can I do...and bingo!!! it came to me that I could just put them up on the roof, where no one can get at them, beam them at the palm fronds which raise up above the house, run extension cords down the side of the house, where they won't be seen, to the living room window and plug them in the living room! FRIKKIN VOILA!  It certainly took me long enough! Gottdayum!!! :D I'm also thinking to buy one of those rubber storage bins, cut it in half, and put one half over each laser to protect them from the occasional showers in December, and put a small brick on top of each bin so it won't fly off. All this won't be seen as it's on the roof.  Can't wait!

Now, the only thing is, they've been in the closet for the past 2 years so I hope they still function...See how you can see the tips of the fronds? They're pretty high up so I think it'll work. Imma climb up there tomorrow and check it out.

and I ordered three very cute Christmas themed decorative pillow covers for the sofa pillows, from Wish, but I don't know if we'll put up the tree, because, honestly, it's the taking everything down and putting it away that kills you, so much work!

Actually my daughter picked them

Anyway, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, oh and Happy Halloween, don't think we'll be giving out candy this year cause, and I dunno maybe I will, but last year hardly anybody came...

And Thanksgiving, well y'all know my fight with the unholy turkey, yet I always end up making it...I dunno...I dunno 'bout Thanksgiving...

And I have plans for a little gazebo, well really just a lattice propped up somehow against the yard brick wall so I can put my Cattleyas out there cause they need a little more sun than they're getting in order to flower...

So many projects Lord have mercy...xD

Oh and I want, have to paint the carport floor, it's making me sick all grey and uneven, sheeet, me so strong...terracotta imma paint it, pictures to come when it's all done, and my new Chakra stone earrings also from Wish

Super light and swingy, love them!

Latahhh!

So I fell again...

Wow, I'm just grateful I didn't break anything important but I think I have a fracture in situ, not displaced, in my wrist, either ...
