LilacPR: Fires, fires etc., and my new hobbies...

Brush fires everywhere. Hope it rains soon. People with large properties set fire to them to clear out the brush, but this year the fires have spread quickly and dangerously far from their point of origin. Too much smoke specially for children and people with respiratory or other conditions. There outta be a law, but there isn't!

Now the pharmacies are running out of medicines! Albuterol and Pulmicort therapies for asthmatics and insulin, among others, Lord have mercy!

This morning I turned on the computer and all of my favorites that I had at the top of the initial page were gone! I would just click on them and they opened, and now they are all gone! I've been trying to put them back but can't, gotta wait till my son can do it for me.

Not a good day, I'm just stressed over a bunch of things, not the least of which is my health, or lack thereof I should say. Recently also had a mole from my scalp removed which turned out to be basal cell C but the surgeon thinks he excised it all. I just have to keep my eye on it for changes. So far so good.

My grandson and wife are having another baby, another great grandchild for me. It's another girl, so Kamila will have a sister soon and she will be named Keilanys. The baby shower is next Sunday. I will not be able to attend. I have several compression fractures on my spine and 2 fractured ribs from a fall I suffered 2 years ago. I They have healed over somewhat but some days just walking is a torture. Advil is my best friend these days.

I recently got a paper/vinyl cutting machine to keep myself occupied and have made several things including putting vinyl names on cups for my daughters nurse coworkers. I made personalized kitchen towels with potholders for my grandsons teachers at the daycare, as well as my surgeons secretaries and assistants and other friends. Everyone just loves these and it's so very gratifying for me to make and gift them.

and since my spirit is willing although the flesh is weak : D I just got into polymer clay too! So far I made Valentines Day earrings for my surgeons secretaries and assistants. I also just made shamrock earrings for my grandsons teachers, and a shamrock pin for the owner, as they were going to celebrate it. They loved them and wore them to the activity. Gotta keep busy!
