The news says it may be only about 3 feet tall here, but who knows...
The warning is for all of the islands in the area. All of them!
My fear is the trembling will continue and we get a big one here too.
Oh Lord...
Wow, I'm just grateful I didn't break anything important but I think I have a fracture in situ, not displaced, in my wrist, either ...
Hi Liza, I heard it's been cancelled. I continue to visit your blog to check on you and your family. The national press is stating how desperate things are getting with the police chief stepping down and officers refusing to work. Do you think you and your family may leave the island?. Take care and blessings.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thank God we haven't gotten anything else! Geez! Enough is enough! The police situation is largely over now, but they were protesting because they had not been paid all the hours they put in after the hurricane, 12 hours or more straight directing traffic in the hot sun and downpours etc. They see and hear of these enormous sums of money coming i9nto the government and they are not even given their due. The government does not pay social security for them and their pension has been cut in half so when they retire they will be in poverty with a mere $500 or $600 a month to live on, no medical insurance, no Medicare, no social security, nothing. So a lot of them have and are leaving the force. Take care and God bless you and the family.
